Loyk Mara Safari Camp is located in the Olare Orok Conservancy, Next to Mara North Conservancy. It’s 5 hrs drive from Nairobi, and 45 minutes via flight landing at either Mara North, Olkiombo, or Musiara Airstrips.

Opul Restaurant
The New Refurbished Opul Restaurant faces the vast plains of Masai Mara, spicing up your mealtime. With the open-sided canvas tents, the experience here gives you total satisfaction. Wildlife tends to pass by the restaurant without any notice, and wouldn’t that be a good surprise when having your breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Your guess is as good as mine.
The Restaurant is connected with a resting area and the bar, where you have your time to just relax and enjoy the wilderness views while sipping your best beverage.

It can host approx a max of 40 pax at a go, with an extra space by the restaurant veranda facing the conservancy.
The camp has some of the best restaurant personnel including Kim who was so special and professional to us during our stay there. The meals were so well prepared and were served past our expectations, also they were very delicious and well prepared by the head chef.
The Tents (Single, Double, Family and for the Less privileged guests)
Whether you are in a group, or a family, or a couple of friends, or on honeymoon, Mara Loyk Luxury Camp is the best place to be. You won’t go wrong with their unlimited choices of tents you would want to spend your holiday at.
The Camp has 11 fabulously luxurious en-suite rooms designed to accommodate business and leisure travelers with all in-room amenities and private verandahs. The camp has 2 family suites, 2 tents with special amenities for the less privileged, 1 honeymoon tent, and 7 Standard tents which can be set as Single, Twin, or Double room upon guests request.

The tents face the vast plains of the reserve giving you private and alone time to enjoy the pristine beauty of nature.
A room service personnel is well set up for any of your tent/room needs in case you need help from the reception or the restaurant.
Each tent is fitted with hot and cold showers, a spacious bathroom with clean white and enough towels for usage. Each day the washrooms are equipped with new towels, toiletries, and other washroom amenities.

Kids Corner, Swimming Pool
The camp has kept families and especially kids in mind by providing some of the best engaging activities for kids. The Restaurant has a section for the kids to play and get engaged as you have your time sipping your beverage enjoying the views of the plains.
A Kids corner is well set and equipped with propper kids playing items such as trampling, swings, bouncing castle, and much more.
During the day, you can cool yourself in a well-designed pool facing the reserve. Having beautiful shades and clean treated water. It’s well built to fit in the Kids and adults as well. As you enjoying the cold bath in the pool, you can have your beverages as well and enjoy the extreme pleasure of the wild.

Game Drives & Bush Activities
The camp is Located in Olare Orok Conservancy and just 5 minutes drive to the Musiara Gate. You will be lucky to do game drives within the reserve esp within the rich Mara Triangle section of the Reserve.
It’s rich and well-populated with big cats such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, and the big five members as well. You are guaranteed an exclusive game drive with no interruptions.

Later after your full-day or morning and evening game drives, a cocktail sundown session is set for you by the conservancy as you enjoy the sun setting down behind the tall scattered acacia trees. A bush walk will precede the sundown and cocktail session, and learn the different types of flora and fauna guided by a professional Masai Guide. Our guide was Wilson, make sure you as for him to guide you when spending at Loyk Camp.

Final Notes from Our Visit to Mara Loyk Eco Camp
The Camp is located in rough terrain, and you will need a 4×4 land cruiser or similar to access it. The road is rocky and small cars cant make it through easily.
The camps is amazing and since it was our second visit, a lot has improved, from salty to freshwater supply, the management ensured to invest in getting fresh water.
A solar system was installed supplying electricity to the camp. This contributes to the eco-friendly efforts in conserving the environment and nature.
Incredible drivers quarters and stuff stay areas.
The camp offers ale carte mostly, but the buffet applies when there’s 80% to full capacity of the camp.
Persons with disabilities are well-taken care of.
