Lang’ata Botanical gardens are yet another serene location in Nairobi. Located in Lang’ata, just a few minutes from the city, this private establishment is perfect for a picnic and other private events.

In addition to its beautiful lush gardens, Lang’ata Botanical Gardens also features a lagoon, grass-thatched pavilions, and nature trails. It is open daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, and you must pay us for their facilities.

Situated in the city off Lang’ata Road, Uhuru Gardens is one of the most popular recreational centres. It is a place of historical significance since it is where the Kenyan flag was raised for the first time during independence. Other than that, the beautiful historical monuments and Uhuru gardens boast a lovely calm setting perfect for a daytime picnic treat.

Uhuru gardens are open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm daily. Entrance is also free and, therefore, no additional cost for you to have a fantastic picnic experience.

Just within the city centre sits Nairobi’s most famous park. Uhuru parks are next to the CBD, making it easy to reach. The entrance is free, and the park is open daily from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. However, Uhuru Park may become congested due to its proximity to the city, especially during weekends.

Located about 10 minutes from Nairobi city centre, along Kiambu Road, Paradise Lost is another picnic gem in Nairobi. It is situated right in the middle of a coffee farm and has beautiful scenery making it a perfect picnic getaway. There are also numerous attractions, including the paradise lost caves, the Gichi river waterfall, camel and horse riding, and boat riding.
